Last updated: November 1, 2026. In short: the abc-it.ro website does not use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies and does not track you across websites. Below you will find exactly what is stored on your device and why.

Who is responsible for the site

The operator of the abc-it.ro website is abc-IT Services. You can write to us at [email protected] or call us at (+40) 759 459 253.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Other similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), work the same way and are treated in the same way in this policy.

What we use on the site

1. Your color theme choice (local storage)

  • What it stores: the color theme you choose with the ☀️/🌙 button or from the color palette (key abcit-theme2) and, on the home page, the number of the last heading message shown, so the same one is not repeated twice in a row (key abcit-motto).
  • Why: so the site looks the same on your next visit.
  • Who reads it: only your browser. The information is not sent to us or to third parties.
  • How long it lasts: until you delete it from your browser settings.

2. Site security: Cloudflare

  • Why: the site is protected and accelerated by Cloudflare, Inc. To block malicious bots and attacks, Cloudflare may set technical cookies, for example __cf_bm (valid for about 30 minutes) or cf_clearance (after a security check).
  • What they are not used for: these cookies are not used for advertising.

3. The virtual assistant

  • Where: a small animated computer with a welcome message appears on every page. Until you click it, no request is made to the assistant’s server.
  • Stored in your browser (sessionStorage, deleted when you close the tab): abcit-t0 (the moment of your first visit, used for the welcome message), abcit-lead-ok (only marks that you completed the form, not the details), abcit-bubble-x (only remembers when you closed the welcome message, so it can reappear after 30 seconds) and abcit-big (only remembers that you enlarged the chat window). The form before the chat asks for your full name, e-mail and phone; these are sent to the team and are not kept in the browser.
  • After you click: the chat window opens, loaded from asistent.abc-it.ro (the assistant’s server, in the European Union). The window uses no cookies; it keeps the current conversation and a session identifier only until you close the tab (sessionStorage: abcit-sid, abcit-log, abcit-handoff).

4. The internet speed test (OpenSpeedTest)

  • Where: only on the “Internet speed test” page. The test is embedded from OpenSpeedTest (openspeedtest.com) and is loaded only when you reach its area on the page.
  • Why: it measures the speed of your internet connection.
  • Who: OpenSpeedTest runs on its own servers and may store technical information in your browser. Details at openspeedtest.com.

5. Photo galleries in articles

The galleries in the blog articles work with images from this site and do not store cookies.

6. Administration accounts

Only the people who administer the site receive WordPress authentication cookies. Regular visitors do not receive such cookies.

What we do not use

  • We do not use Google Analytics or other statistics tools.
  • We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, or tracking pixels.
  • The buttons and links to WhatsApp and Facebook are simple links. We do not load their scripts on the site. If you click them, you land on those services, which have their own policies.

Legal basis

Storing information that is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested or to secure the site is allowed without consent, under Article 4 of Law no. 506/2004, as amended. If we add tools in the future that require your consent (for example statistics), we will ask for your agreement before activating them, and this page will be updated.

How to control or delete cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. If you block them, the site keeps working, but the theme you chose will not be remembered.

Your rights and contact

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and objection regarding your data, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). For any question, write to us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (dataprotection.ro).
