Frequently asked questions
We understand that when your computer or laptop needs to be repaired, you may have some questions about how we solve problems. Below are answers to some of the most common questions you may have about repairing your devices. Of course, if you have other questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
What support services do you offer?
We offer IT&C services remotely and on site. Depending on the intervention needed, you can choose remote or on-site support. The services are aimed at both individuals and legal entities, such as small or medium-sized companies that want to outsource their IT department. We offer a wide range of services, including: repairs at your home or at the company's office, office technical support, desktop computer or laptop repairs, computer assemblies, networking and many other services.
How much does diagnostics cost?
All customers get free diagnostics included in the price of the repair or service you choose.
If the repair or service is declined, the diagnostics fee is 50 lei. Your approval is required before any repair work is carried out.
How long does a repair take?
From the moment you approve the repair or intervention, it is carried out immediately (the same day). If a hardware component needs to be replaced, that will take a few days (2-5 days).
Do you offer a warranty on your services?
Of course: 30 days for software support and 90 days for hardware-related support.
Is there a waiting period for on-site service requests?
Yes. On-site interventions can be scheduled within 24 hours of the request. However, emergency calls are available within 3 hours, if needed.
Will the contents of the computer (documents, photos, videos) be lost when it is repaired?
Protecting your data is a priority, as long as the storage drive and the integrity of the data are still in good condition. If there is a problem with the data on your device, we will let you know and take the best decision for recovering it.
I need to buy a new computer. What do you recommend?
Although it seems easier to pick a computer that is on sale, there is a good chance it is not the best choice. Get in touch with us to schedule a consultation that will help you choose the computer that fits your needs.
How did I get viruses?
The most common ways they get into your operating system are vulnerabilities in the software currently installed, clicks on malicious links, most often found in e-mails, or visiting a compromised website.
How can I prevent virus infections?
The best ways to protect your computer and personal data include:
- Backing up your personal data, which is the most important operation we recommend if you are able to do it
- Running a protection solution against viruses
- Don't click on links in e-mails if the sender's details look strange or you are not sure about where the message comes from
- Updating your operating system and the applications you use
- Running firewall software
- Use the computer as a standard user, not as an administrator.
In the end it all comes down to the behavior and training of the user while surfing the Internet.
What is the best antivirus for my computer, preferably free?
Although there is no absolute guarantee regarding the effectiveness of any antivirus, the current trend of cyber attacks leads us to the conclusion that we can no longer recommend any of the free antivirus products currently available. They do not provide the same level of protection as paid solutions. By buying a paid antivirus, you benefit from significantly stronger protection than any of the free options offer.
Do you repair smartphones?
We don't offer this service at the moment. However, we are available to guide you in setting up mobile devices and teach you the essentials of using them. If you run into problems with a mobile device, we are here to help you find a repair shop that meets your needs.
