Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026. This page explains which personal data we process when you use the abc-it.ro website, why, and what rights you have. For cookies and similar technologies, see the Cookie policy.

Who is responsible for the data

The data controller is abc-IT Services. You can write to us at [email protected] or call us at (+40) 759 459 253.

What data we process and why

1. When you contact us directly (phone, WhatsApp, e-mail)

We process the data you give us: your name, phone number or e-mail address, address, the description of the problem and the content of your messages, in order to answer you, schedule an appointment and carry out the service. Legal basis: steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of the contract. We keep the data as long as needed for the service, the warranty and legal obligations.

2. The virtual assistant

If you use the website’s virtual assistant, your messages, the page you write from and your IP address are processed to answer you and to prevent abuse. Before the conversation starts we ask for your last name, first name, e-mail address and phone number; these are sent to the abc-IT team through an internal notification (Telegram) so we can contact you, and they are not kept in the website’s database. Answers are generated automatically by an AI model through the provider OpenRouter (USA). Conversations are stored on our server in the European Union for 30 days and then deleted automatically. If you ask for a technician, the conversation and the contact details you provide are passed to the abc-IT team. The abc-IT team may read the conversations (a summary is sent to the team after each conversation, and they can be viewed in a password-protected page) only to answer you, improve the service and prevent abuse. The assistant sets no cookies; its window keeps the current conversation only until the tab is closed (sessionStorage). Legal basis: steps at your request prior to a contract and our legitimate interest (security). Do not enter passwords or card details.

3. Security logs

For website security we record the IP address, approximate location (country/city, provided by Cloudflare), the page visited and the browser type on the first visit within 24 hours. This information is shared internally with the abc-IT team. Legal basis: legitimate interest (website security and fraud prevention).

4. Technical server logs

The web server and Cloudflare automatically record the IP address, the requested page, the date and the browser, for operation, security and troubleshooting. These logs do not contain the content of assistant messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.

Who we share data with

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: site protection and delivery.
  • The hosting provider of the website and the server of the virtual assistant (in the European Union).
  • OpenRouter (USA): generating the virtual assistant’s answers.
  • Telegram: internal notifications to the abc-IT team (for example a technician request or security alerts).

Some of these providers are outside the European Union; transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, for example standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
