Desktop PC build for online school and operating system installation

In the first article of this year we present a job we completed in the past for a fifth-grade student to use for online classes and activities at school.

The configuration consists of the following components:

  • Processor Intel Coffee Lake, Core i5 9600K 3.7GHz
  • Motherboard GIGABYTE B365M DS3H
  • RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 8GB DDR4 2666MHz CL16
  • SSD ADATA SX6000 Lite 256GB PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 2280
  • Power supply Corsair VS Series VS650, 80+, 650W
  • CPU cooler Deepcool GAMMAXX 300
  • Case Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L
  • Speakers Logitech Z120 White
  • Monitor LED DELL P2417H 23.8 inch 6ms black-silver 60Hz
  • Keyboard + mouse kit Microsoft Desktop Media 2000
  • Webcam Logitech C922 Pro Stream, FHD, USB, Black
  • Video cable Gembird HDMI Male - HDMI Male, v1.4, 1.8m, Ethernet, black

We chose a compact case that fits in a student's study room. The configuration allows you to upgrade or increase the RAM and storage, or to add a dedicated graphics card, if you wish.

For this computer we applied the gold assembly service, which also includes wire management, and then we used the at-home installation offer, which includes:

  • Microsoft Windows installation
  • Partitioning
  • Driver installation
  • Operating system configuration and personalization
  • Microsoft Office installation
  • Installing the applications needed for online school

At the end of the article we attached a few photos taken during the assembly of the system.
