Gaming PC build, operating system installation and data transfer

In the last days of 2024, abc-IT.ro built one of the most expensive gaming systems, using the most powerful gaming processor available at the time of writing, namely the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D together with an MSI motherboard on the X670E chipset, model TOMAHAWK WIFI.

The gaming PC was built in a dual-chamber case made by NZXT, model H9 Elite in black, and to cool the processor we chose liquid cooling, also from NZXT, model Kraken 360 RGB, also in black. Because we used a case with transparent panels designed for gaming, the components we chose include RGB, such as the RAM and the case fans. For the graphics card we chose the RTX 4080 SUPER, TUG GAMING OC variant made by ASUS, one of the most powerful graphics cards on the market today.

Storage is provided by a Samsung 990 PRO SSD with a capacity of 2TB on a PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface and M.2 2280 form factor, alongside a 4TB Seagate Barracuda HDD taken from the client's previous gaming system. We transferred all the user's files from the previous operating system (desktop, documents, downloads) using the data backup service, and we also carried over the profiles of the browsers used, together with some preferences of the applications the user works with.

After assembly we applied the operating system installation service for Microsoft Windows; for this system we chose Windows 11 LTSC, which we configured and personalized. Since this is a gaming system, we ran a stability test using the following programs: AIDA64, CoreTemp, CineBench, CPU-Z, GPU-Z and HWinfo. For benchmarking we also used the latest version of the game Cyberpunk 2077 together with the Phantom Liberty DLC.

At the end, as usual, you will find photos documenting the process and the list of parts used, with links to the manufacturers' pages.
